Report Fraud

Report Fraud

Help us protect our clients, counterparties, and the markets. If you've encountered fraud targeting Clear Street or anyone impersonating us, we want to know about it.

Report to fraud@clearstreet.io

Are you a Clear Street client and believe your account is compromised?

Don't wait for an email reply - contact our support team immediately through the Clear Street platform or your usual coverage contact so we can secure your account.

What to report

Send reports of any of the following to fraud@clearstreet.io. Your report helps us shut down fraudulent activity quickly and protect others.

Websites, apps & brand impersonation

Fake websites, domains, advertisements, or social media accounts posing as Clear Street or our trading platform - including look-alike domains and counterfeit mobile apps. Our apps are available only through the official Apple App Store and Google Play listings linked from our websites.

Phishing & suspicious messages

Emails, text messages, or phone calls claiming to be from Clear Street that ask for credentials, personal information, or money.

Employee & advisor impersonation

Individuals falsely claiming to work for or represent Clear Street - including those offering investment advice, account management, trading signals, "special access," or research and deal opportunities. If someone claims a Clear Street affiliation you can't verify, report it.

Account compromise & identity theft

Unauthorized access to a Clear Street account, accounts opened using a stolen identity, or attempts to move assets you did not authorize.

Job & recruitment scams

Fake Clear Street job postings, recruiters, or offer letters - especially any that request payment, banking details, or personal documents. Our open roles are listed only on the careers page of our official website.

Fake invoices & payment requests

Invoices, wire instructions, or payment requests claiming to be from Clear Street. Verify any payment instruction with your known Clear Street contact through an established channel before acting.

For financial institutions

Broker-dealers, banks, and other institutions: if you need to reach us urgently about suspected fraud involving Clear Street accounts, use the channels below.

Suspected fraudulent accounts or activity

Contact us if your firm has identified suspected fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized activity involving a Clear Street account. This includes transfers of funds or securities received by Clear Street - such as account transfers or wires - that you believe resulted from fraud, identity theft, or a compromised customer account at your institution and need to dispute.

Email fraud@clearstreet.io from your institutional email address with your firm name, your contact information, and the relevant account or transaction references. We treat institutional reports as time-sensitive and will verify the source of every report before acting.

What to include in your report

The more detail you can provide, the faster we can act.

  • Suspicious emails - forward the original email as an attachment where possible, so headers are preserved.
  • Websites or social media - the full URL or handle, and how you found it (search result, ad, direct message).
  • Text messages or calls - a screenshot of the message and the phone number that contacted you.
  • Impersonators - the name they used, how they contacted you, and anything they sent you (documents, business cards, payment instructions).

Please do not include your password, full account number, or full Social Security number in a report. We may follow up if we need more information, but you will not always receive an individual response. This inbox is for fraud reports only - for account service questions, use your normal support channels.

How to know it's really us

Clear Street will never:

  • Ask you to share your password, one-time codes, or two-factor authentication codes with an employee or anyone else. You enter these yourself only when signing in to our website or apps.
  • Ask you to download remote-access software or share your screen.
  • Ask you to move money, securities, or other assets to "protect" them, or to send funds via payment apps, gift cards, or cryptocurrency.
  • Contact you unsolicited with investment advice, trading signals, or promises of guaranteed returns.
  • Charge a fee to apply for a job or ask job candidates for banking details before an offer is formally in place.
  • Pressure you to act immediately or keep a request secret.

You can verify Clear Street LLC and its registered personnel on FINRA BrokerCheck. Clear Street UK Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and can be verified on the FCA Register.
